Post-retrieval recovery conflicting advice

I'm reaching out because I could really use some wisdom from those of you who have been in this boat before. So, I had my egg retrieval just two days ago, and they were able to get 15 eggs, yay! Thankfully, the recovery has gone pretty smoothly so far. I'm not in any pain, just feeling a bit worn out and sore around the sides.

Here's where I'm feeling a bit confused, my reproductive endocrinologist gave a quick okay to resume normal activities (to have sex) whenever I feel up to it. But then, the nurse who discharged me was super clear about waiting at least 10 days, or maybe longer, because of the risk of ovarian torsion.

My partner and I have been holding off since the trigger shot, and honestly, I'm feeling pretty good now. Just a tiny twinge when I stretch or move too fast. But wow, the internet is full of mixed messages, some people say to just listen to your body while others caution about serious risks if you don't take it slow.

So, I'm curious: what was your recovery like? How soon did you feel comfortable diving back into intimacy? I'd really love to hear your personal stories because it seems like everyone's experience (and clinic advice!) can be so different.

Appreciate any insights you can share

Congrats on the retrieval, I believe that's a pretty good number. As for intimacy, I spoke to my doc about this and he said the being cautios is better than indulging in a pleasureful activity. Feeling good, doesn't mean everything being good for having sex, so I'd hold off a few more days, just to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry, right?
